Here they are. Aren’t they amazing. And guess what – they’re plastic. Whenever we eat outside, I haul out the plastic dishes because it’s so much easier toting things back and forth and if anything drops on the patio, there’s no glass to clean up.
I gave the dishes a road test the other on my dining room table. I went with a coastal Mediterranean look. Blue and greens with some pretty fern and hydrangea from the garden. And of course, some starfish since summer is around the corner.
Everything for this table setting I had on hand except the new plates which I picked up for a dollar each. I love a bargain!
The turquoise salad plates even have a faux crackle glaze. You wouldn’t know they were plastic until you picked them up and felt how light they are.
I just used my casual everyday silverware and pulled out some of my pretty green serverware.
I’m planning on painting the dining room chairs white as soon as I get some free time. I think they’ll look much better with a pretty white coat of paint and some fresh cushions.
And I’ll never tire of the look of aged patina.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
Beautiful! have a great weekend Carolyn!
ReplyDeleteI love this table! Long ago I would never have considered plastic plates, but all of the high end stores are now coming out with them and they are BEAUTIFUL. They are certainly practical, but to now have such an assortment of colors and patterns makes them hard to resist.
