CELEBRATIONS: 5 Salsa Recipes for Cinco de Mayo

Salsa Round UpHappy Cinco de Mayo! In honor of this day, I thought I’d share with you five different salsa recipes – from traditional roasted tomato salsa to unique beet and apple salsa, your sure to find one that suits your taste. And because salsa is so easy to make, you can whip up one or two of these in no time. So get out the chips and enjoy!

Roasted-Tomato-Salsa with Chips
Classic Roasted Tomato Salsa is always a crowd pleaser. This recipe is great for those less-then-perfect tomatoes – save the perfect fresh from the vine tomatoes for fresh salsa. I’m also a chip snob. My chips can’t be from the potato chip aisle. They need to be restaurant style or homemade.

Warm-Pear-Salsa recipe for fish or chickenWarm Pear Apple & Pineapple Salsa is perfect for chicken or seafood dishes. I like serving this with shrimp and side of rice pilaf.

Fresh Shrimp Salsa with Tostada ShellThis Shrimp Salsa recipe is one of my favorites. I could eat the entire bowl. I use fresh tostada shells when I serve this salsa.

Beet & Apple Salsa Earthy Sweet and Delicious
Beets are loaded with healthy benefits. This Beet and Apple Salsa is an interesting alternative to traditional salsa. The earthy sweet flavor is another nice topping for fish or just to snack on with chips.

Classic Mango Salsa perfect for pork, fish or chicken
Mango Salsa was all the rage a while back and for good reason. It’s so good. You can pretty much use it to top anything; fish, pork, chicken or just grab a spoon and eat it as side dish.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
