HOME ROOM: Dining Room -A Touch of Fall

Fall Tables Rustic Charm with Aged Terra CottaIf my decorating schedule went by the weather, I’d be sharing some coastal décor complete with shells and sea glass. In my neck of the woods, we nearly hit 100 degrees this week. Even though it’s sweltering, I’m going by the calendar and the calendar says it’s officially fall.

Fall Centerpiece Aged Terracotta White PumpkinsThat means put away the starfish and bring on the white mini pumpkins. I can’t get enough of them especially when they have perfectly imperfect long stems.

Fall Table Wood and Terra CottaThis year my dining room still has a touch of the coastal feel to it. I kept the green glass on the hutch and wove in terra cotta, copper and wood.

Fall Centerpiece Rustic Wood Terra CottaThis centerpiece was literally done on the fly. I bought the eucalyptus and tuber roses and used terra cotta pots from my potting table and a piece of wood to set them on.

Fall Table Wood Plank CenterpieceI didn’t want to set the wood directly on the table so I used little scented votive candles as feet. I loved that idea and was feeling pretty proud of myself when I thought of it.

Fall Table Aged Terra Cotta & EucalyptusInside each terra cotta pot is a vase to hold the flowers and water. For the smaller pots I used the bottom half of plastic water bottles.

Fall Table Tuber RoseI love these tuber rose buds and I think they would look pretty for any season.

Fall Hutch Green Glass & CopperSince it’s still hot here, I kept most of my green glass from summer on the hutch and decorated around it with nuts and other fall embellishments.

Fall Table and Hutch I’m calling this my transitional season décor. When the weather gets cooler, I’ll consider adding more fall touches but I like the light, airy feeling of this “touch of fall” décor.
