Celebrations: spring fling features

  Blog Spring Fling-001
A big thank you to everyone who came by and joined in our Spring Fling. Bev from Flamingo Toes and I had so much creating our spring kick off projects and hosting this Spring Fling. The projects shared at the Spring Fling link party were fantastic. Thank you, thank you for celebrating spring with us. We’ll be announcing the winners of the giveaway shortly.

In the meantime, here are my featured picks from the Spring Fling link party.

pompom easter chick rookno17Absolutely adorable pompom chick from Rook No. 17. Pompoms are fairly easy to make but to get them this full and fluffy and then trimming the into a shape takes special talent. Rook No. 17 has definitely outdone herself!

Flower-Glitter-Easter-EggsBeautiful Easter eggs by a Pumpkin and a Princess. The pretty floral shapes decorated in glitter make these bright white eggs stand out in a sea of eggs.

Frugal Easter TablescapeFrugal Easter Decor by Rain on a Tin Roof has all the traditional spring and Easter elements. Dyed eggs, chicks, pretty pastels and a giant golden Easter bunny all lined up and patiently awaiting Easter.

glitter-painted-easter-eggsElegant German Glass Eggs by Mom4Real. The eggs were first painted a creamy white and then German glass glitter sprinkled onto designs painted with Mod Podge. Beautiful!

bird2Pink and spring green – one of my favorite color combinations - come together in this darling bird pillow by Night Owl Corner. This makes me want to rev up my sewing machine and make a whole flock of these cuties.

Geometric Spring Faux MantelGirl Loves Glam created a geometric triangle background for her faux mantel and incorporated loads of fun spring elements. I spy a giant egg, grass, a yellow chick, a pompom garland and so much more.

The cutest salad I’ve ever seen by Doreen Grace. A pear bunny salad made with pear halves, almond ears, dried cranberry eyes and a cottage cheese cotton tail.

felt-easter-bunny-craft-copyEven if you sew, the allure of a no-sew project can be irresistible. These no-sew felt bunnies by The Happier Homemaker can be whipped up in minutes and used for so many different things; a centerpiece, Easter baskets or finger puppets.

IMG_7182A beautiful tablescape and place setting by On Sutton Place. The starting point for the table was the gorgeous vintage linen napkins. The touch of blue is carried out in the table runner, salad plate, ball jars and of course, robin’s egg décor.

matryoshka nesting eggsBliss Bloom Blog has created the most unique eggs I’ve seen so far. Would you believe these started out as regular plastic eggs? First covered in beautiful Washi tape, the eggs are transformed into Matryoshka Nesting Eggs with sweet handmade faces. So creative!
