Inkling: frolicking with dear lizzy fifth & frolic

Amer Crafts 16aWhether you are into scrapbooking, card making or just love beautiful paper, you are going to love this new line designed by Liz Kartchner. It’s the American Crafts Dear Lizzy Fifth & Frolic line and it’s debuting this weekend.

There’s something about brand new fresh sheets of paper and all the pretty coordinating embellishments that really inspire creativity. Since Easter is around the corner, I decided to make a little Easter basket.

Blog Amer Craft ReviewIt was hard to decide which paper to choose. The line is all about crisp blues, pinks, greens, yellows and airy neutrals with hints of gold.

And the embellishments capture a little bit of of everything – rustic burlap leaves, sweet pastel buttons and glitzy gold.

Here’s what I started with. This fun little strawberry basket.

I used the Rue De Love stitched ruffled paper to cover the basket and trimmed the rim of the basket in a polka dot pattern. And of course, I couldn’t resist the glitter tape in Brown Sugar. One of the leaf embellishments ties everything together.

An Easter basket needs a handle and layering the polka dot paper with spring green brings in even more color.

Since I wasn’t done playing, I created a little greeting card on a stick.

Add some paper shreds and some fun candy and you’re all set.

The Fifth & Frolic paper crafting line will debut in all JoAnn’s stores this weekend on March 17!
