CELEBRATIONS: Spring Hoop Wreath with Dollar Store Flowers

Spring Hoop Wreath via homework (3)My spring pink décor continues. As I mentioned when I first shared my spring hutch, I used pink as an accent color this year. A first for me. To bring a little more pink to the room, I created this spring hoop wreath.

Spring Hoop Wreath via homework (8)I love how it turned out. It’s light and airy so I can hang it from the top of the hutch and still see my plates and knick knacks.

Spring Hoop Wreath via homework (2)For this wreath, I used dollar store flowers. The quality is so-so but it’s easy to make even the cheapest faux flowers look better.

Spring Hoop Wreath via homework (7)With cheap flowers, often times it’s the plastic stems that make them look very fake. I cut off all the stems from the pink peonies and other accent flowers before I hot glued them to the hoop.

Spring Hoop Wreath via homework (1)For the cascading cherry blossoms, I covered the horrible brown plastic stems with bits of moss. I also added a real stem of ivy give the wreath a more realistic look.

Spring Hoop Wreath via homework (4)I’m thrilled with how this Spring Hoop Wreath turned out. I’ve actually moved it and it’s hanging on the far right since taking these photos.

Spring Hoop Wreath via homework (6)Now I can enjoy Peonies throughout spring even if they’re cheap dollar store flowers.

Thanks so much for stopping by.
