DRESS CODE: Beautiful Bellevue & What I Wore

Beautiful Bellevue & What I Wore - homework (13)
Hello friends. I took my third business trip to Bellevue, Washington a few weeks ago and was in awe of the beautiful seasonal changes, the crisp air and the love the people of Washington have for their beloved Seattle Seahawks Football team.

It's a short flight from Los Angeles to Seattle and the company I work for always sends a town car to pick me up at the airport. It's such a treat and I love feeling so special. I snapped this picture of myself in the town car doing my best celebrity gaze impression.

It was a busy work week but I snapped a few pictures of the beautiful trees in the hotel parking lot and at my office. I can only imagine if you drove outside of the city what the trees would look like.

Here's a fun panoramic shot of my room. Since it's a long working week, it's nice to have the desk area and living space.

Day One in the office: comfy and business casual was what I was going for. I bought a new pair of high-waisted trousers and paired them with my warm and comfortable boyfriend cardigan. I dressed up the outfit with my new leopard print pumps.

Here's what the pants look like on the model. Love the look but it's way too youthful for me. However, it does give me ideas for how to wear these pants outside of the office.

I love these new pumps. They're a little higher heel than I normally wear but they're super comfortable.  Bandolino Kami Pumps - Macys

Day one I had dinner out in downtown Bellevue at Earl's. They have this fun herb plant display that was so cool. I wasn't very hungry since I had also eaten lunch out so I ordered the chopped salad which was delicious.

Day Two - We had a meeting in Seattle with our PR Agency and I wanted to dress up a little. I wore this White Topper Coat with black skinny pants and my new favorite shoes again. I loved this outfit but kept wondering if I looked like a doctor in this white coat. Still wondering about that...

Halogen White V-Neck Topper - Nordstrom (now available at Nordstrom Rack)  :  Katherine Barclay Montreal Black Textured Skinny Pants - TJ Maxx   :  Black Sleeveless Top - from my closet

Here's a close up of the texture on the skinny pants. They're fantastic and stretchy and they were a find at TJ Maxx.

The view from the conference room in downtown Seattle. I love the dark blue walls and white conference table with white leather chairs. Oh, if you're wondering, those bowls on the window sill were the salads that we had for lunch.

Here I am in the conference room under our press screen. It was a great meeting but I wish I could have toodled around Seattle for the day. As it was, we literally raced back to Bellevue for another meeting.

DAY THREE: No meetings scheduled and rain was in the forecast, so I went somewhat casual in black pants, a lightweight ombree cardigan, and my black shooties (shoe boots).

Black NYDJ Stretch Trousers  :  Black & Grey Ombre Knit Cardigan - TJ Maxx  :  Bandolino Icaree Shooties   :  Stretch Statement Bracelet - Macy's

Here's a close up of my new statement bracelet. It was on clearance and I needed one more item to qualify for free shipping on my order so I added it to my cart. Do you ever do that?

As I mentioned this was my third trip up to Washington but my first day of rain. I broke out my new hot pink and orange umbrella.

Everyday when I step off the elevator at the office, the doors open and there's a full length mirror on the wall. I finally got the nerve to take a selfie one day when no one was around.

Every night when I finally get back to my room I finish up regular work and then check my blog and try to answer blog emails and stay in touch. It's my favorite time, curled up on the couch with the TV on, checking in on all thing blog related.

DAY FOUR: My office was having a big open house event and I wanted to dress up. I brought two charcoal grey dresses with me. The other dress was sleeveless and the weather was a little chilly, so I opted for this Pleated Sweater Dress. This was another great find at TJ Maxx online. Originally from Lord and Taylor and well over $100, I got it for $29.99.

I wore these vintage earrings (from my jewelry stash) with the grey dress and a copper beaded necklace and bracelet

I only took one purse with me and believe it or not, it wasn't black. I went with this Caramel-colored Bag and it worked with every outfit. Purse from TJ Maxx

It was a great trip, with beautiful scenery and I had fun dressing up and stepping away from my usual routine. But it's always good to get back home.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

    1. Hello, Yes, I glued them onto a wooden snowflake. I'd have to look back on that post but I'm pretty sure I used Alene's Tackly Glue. That's my go-to glue for craft projects. Thanks so much. I'm so happy you like that project.
