Once again I was blown away by all the projects linked up on the Inspiration Board this week. You are all raising the bar on creativity! Thank you so much for stopping by, commenting, linking and partying with me. I truly appreciate it.

Here are a few projects in the spotlight this week.

IMG_3105 Most of us have seen these types of beds –- in the PB catalog for a lot of money! That’s my Letter built this one for her son. Who wouldn’t want to sleep in this clubhouse or hangout in the play area below. No wonder he added a “No Girls Allowed” sign!

Super cute and colorful favor stand combining all the “in” patterns and colors by Paper Vine. Hop on over to Paper Vine to learn how to make one for yourself.

Picture1 Perfect for a hot summer day – chilled cucumber soup by Southern Mom Cooks. A cool and refreshing starter for backyard barbeque or fancy indoor dinner.

IMG_2041A new spin on the old favorite lemon bars. Lime Curd Bars with Coconut Crust by Life Made Simple. Looks delicious and for some reason I can’t get that song “she put the lime in the coconut…” out of my head.

floxglove3 Life on Walnut Street used old shutters and pretty knick knacks for her summer mantle. The result is a beautiful, serene focal point.

finishedlimeMidwestern Sewing Girl went all Martha on us and made the cutest Martha-inspired drawstring Bag out of dish towels. Dish towels make this project easier but you could always stencil plain fabric to make a bag.

soappouch2-1This project is so ingenious! Soap pouches that double as a washcloth by Vanessa’s Values. These soap pouches were made from a large towel and will be used for Operation Christmas Child. Fantastic! These would also be great for camping or dorm life.

IMG_2841You won’t believe what this lampshade is made from. WCC Designs used rolled newspapers to create this stunning lampshade. Doesn’t it look like something you’d see in a fancy shop or gallery?

Nautical Rope Spool-512 This project speaks to me – in fact it shouts my name. A rope spool by My Hoot Designs combines nautical, beautiful dark wood and shells to create a beautiful summer look.

  1. Carolyn thanks again for featuring my clubhouse bed. It was truly the most fun to build and share with everyone. My little guy loves his new sleeping quarters and I love the new play space that keeps him occupied!
