The Inspiration Board: creative party spotlight ~120~

Woo hoo! It’s Friday everyone. How was your week? Mine was a little on the crazy side. A lot of appointments and activities made the week a little chaotic but I made it through. High fives and gratitude to all of you who stopped by this week and shared your creativity on The Inspiration Board. The pre fall season has inspired all of you. The board was amazing – filled with beautiful things.

If you didn’t get a chance to stop by this week, here is what I shared.Blog Amber GlassFall Hutch  |  Twine Sunburst Wreath  |  DIY Faux Amber Glass

Now on to the projects in the spotlight this week.

FallDecoratingFamilyRoom_thumbThere are a lot of home tours going on right now and Finding Home shared her fall home tour with us. It’s absolutely beautiful. If you want some fall décor ideas, click over. The entire tour of several homes is also available at the bottom of her post.

DIY_botanical_pumpkins_graphicMy new favorite pumpkins are over at Uncommon Designs. You can use this technique on real or fake pumpkins. Botanical Mod Podge Pumpkins – fantastic!

IMG_6300I love this custom desk shared by Restyle Relove. The long narrow dimensions are perfect for her lounge room office with plenty of room for her kid’s homework area. And the stain colors….love!

9-11-13-pic-18A fabulous idea for covering kid’s school books by The Home Avengers. Timeless brown bag book covers get a customized look with fun Washi Tape.

14Chalkboard paint in pretty colors? Why didn’t anyone tell me about this? Thank goodness Delineate Your Dwelling shared these adorable desks topped off with a pretty blue chalkboard paint.

IMG_0494azLinen cloths with crocheted edges by Ana Love Craft are intricate and timeless. This type of detailed work is reminiscent of a past generation. Beautiful!

macaronpyramidPersia Lou shares a tutorial on How to Make Macarons for Beginners. Macarons have been on my list to try to make for years but I’ve always been a little intimated to try to create those puffy beauties. Her tutorial breaks everything down for you and as you can see her first attempt resulted in some stunning Macarons.

IMG_2280A darling bag by Sweet Bee Buzzing. The pleats remind me of a pleated skirt and the Paris fabric is very “in” right now. Darling polka dot fabric lines the inside and real handles take this bag from tote bag to handbag.

Книги1Martinel created these beautiful aged book covers with I believe decoupage and paint. I wasn’t able to translate the the post but the photos are beautiful and inspiring.

0bWow – so unexpected and so beautiful. This little baby girl nursery by Minette’s Maze is elegant, whimsical and fun. A little modern and a little vintage – I love the unique look.
