Every year I try to come up with a new way to package up confetti for New Year’s Eve. That way, everyone just gets a small handful and the confetti and glitter clean up is somewhat manageable. Besides, the package makes it all the more fun.

Inspired by candy pixie sticks, this year I came up with these cute straw holders. I used heavy duty paper straws and cut them in half.

A small piece of Washi Tape holds the ends closed until the stroke of midnight.

You can purchase confetti or make your own using paper punches. I used a tiny heart hole punch and the rest are just small squares that I cut using scissors.

Once you have all your confetti ready, use a funnel or a folded piece of paper to put the confetti into each straw.

The Washi Tape comes off easily so that the confetti tossing can begin promptly after the countdown. Woo hoo!
And here are the confetti holders that I have shared in the past three years.
How are you ringing in the new year? Champagne and confetti? Or, will you be fast asleep at the stroke of midnight?
Thanks for visiting.
