The Inspiration Board: creative party spotlight ~138~

High fives everyone – it’s Friday! We crafted, baked, sewed, diyed, decored and created through another week. Thank you to everyone who stopped by this week and either visited, left a comment or shared a project. I never get tired of doing this as long as you all keep stopping by. If you didn’t get a chance to drop in this week, here’s what I shared.

There were such a wonderful variety of projects linked up this week. Here are a few in the spotlight this week.

SnowOnBarnA Top Serenity Hill reminded me that there is a real winter, with real snow and beautiful pristine scenery that I don’t get to experience. Beautiful photography and imagery.

101_0022Simply Vintageous shows us the impact of a little bit of black paint. This kitchen re-do is wonderful.

Natural Colored Rainbow Cake Square Image finalI love rainbow cakes. It’s always amazing to see all those layers stacked up on top of each other. I struggle with a simple 2-layer cake. Hungry Happenings created this beautiful cake but used all natural ingredients to create the colors instead of food coloring.

IMG_0016On the flip side to the towering rainbow cake is this beautiful unadorned white cake with lemon buttercream frosting by Four and Know More. Divine simplicity and I’m sure absolutely delicious.

SAM_6539I know… I picked a lot of sweet treats this week but there were so many beautiful ones linked up. I think you all have been busy in the kitchen. This gorgeous Earl Grey Cardamom and Orange Loaf is by Twigg Studios. I can just imagine having a slice for breakfast with a cup of coffee. Yes, please!

IMG_3488Sometimes all you need is small splash of color to make a big impact. Glamorous Bride added some red flowers and sweet Valentine book page bunting to create this pretty mantel.

papas-locasI love fries and I love learning about new foods. This dish by Pink Recipe Box is from her hometown in the Canary Islands. Papas Locas (crazy potato) looks like a plate of yum to me!

Homemade-Essential-Oils-Vapor-Rub-for-CoughIt’s cold and cough season and ABC Creative Learning shares a recipe for a homemade Essential Oils Vapor Rub. I’m sure this is way better than that nasty menthol vapor rub my mom used to use.

DSCN4169_thumb[1]Finding space in your home for a craft nook or home office can often be challenging. Sweet Parrish Place created a wonderful office space in the corner of her dining room.

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAThis Love Note Valentine Bunting is by Flamingo Toes in her signature sweet vintage look and of course, her amazing sewing skills. Each fabric envelope has a button closure and little notes can be inserted to count down to Valentine’s Day. I think these would also be perfect as gift card holders.
