Happy New Year! I wanted to recap 2013 and re-share some of my favorite projects from the past year. Thanks for visiting me throughout the year and sharing with me at my link parties. I can’t tell you how grateful I am that my little corner of the creative world is still chugging along and that you take the time to stop by.
Vintage Button Snowflake | A snowflake made out of vintage buttons and delicate seam binding.
Old Sweater New Storage | A giant coffee can covered in an old sweater makes a great crayon bin. Put the cover on for easy storage.
Lemon Sugar Cubes | Lemon and sugar combined into sugar cubes ready to add to your tea.
Wedding Save the Date | A unique “save-the-date” card with symbols of something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue.
Stenciled Butterfly Feeder Jar | A wine jug becomes a butterfly feeder with stenciled flowers. It hangs upside down with sweet sugar water to give the butterflies a little sip.
Paper Mache Confetti Bowl | A bowl made out of 1 inch circle punched scrapbook paper. Paper mache paste holds it all together.
Dyed Speckled Eggs | Dyed eggs get a speckled treatment with gold Sharpies.
Junk Mail & Paper Clip Bracelet | Junk mail paper becomes interesting beads wrapped around paper clips.
Honey Cinnamon Nutmeg Facial Mask | A soothing facial mask made from cinnamon, honey and nutmeg. Almost good enough to eat.
Easy Patriotic Berry Cups | Small dollar store storage cups are perfect to serve and store summer berries. Lined with a cupcake liner and embellished with pretty paper and flags.
Romantic Dream Catcher | A crocheted doily, torn strips of fabric, and an embroidery hoop to catch those dreams.
Shopping Bag to Teen Décor Sign | A cool shopping bag cut up and decoupaged onto a wood board becomes great teen décor.
Painted Yellow Colander | A bright red colander didn’t match my décor but a little spray paint fixed that problem.
Shoo Fly Shoo Fruit Fly Shaker Bottle Catcher | A shaker bottle becomes the perfect fruit fly catcher with the special “can’t resist” ingredients inside.
Honey Pops for a Sore Throat | Honey pops are a great natural way to soothe a sore throat.
Teen Boy Ribbon Memo Board | Ribbon doesn’t have to be frilly. These masculine ribbon choices make a nice memo board for a boy.
Twine Sunburst Wreath | A budget friendly wreath using twine to create a sunburst is perfect for fall.
Faux Felted Acorns Made Without Wool or Water | If you love felted acorns but don’t have any wool, these little balls of yarn are the perfect felting “cheat”.
Black Lace Stenciled Treat Jar | Stencils, black paint and a jar become an elegant and mysterious treat jar.
Pomegranate Facial Scrub | Pomegranates are filled with nutrients and antioxidants and used as a scrub can slow the aging process.
Black Lace Decoupage Votive | A potion tray is all the more bewitching with a lace covered votive.
Repainted Gold Table | An old gold table gets a lighter and brighter looks with white paint. Painters tape creates the pattern of the original gold color.
Rat Pack Party Hats | An easy and fun craft to instantly change those cheap Halloween rats into a Rat Pack of partiers.
Brown Paper Packages Tied up with String Advent | A special advent countdown of small goodies all wrapped up.
Stacked Animal Snow Globe | More dollar store plastic animals get a makeover with gold paint.
Pixie Stick Straw Confetti Holders for New Year’s Eve | Ring in the new year with glitter and confetti packaged in straws.
Wishing you bountiful blessings in 2014.
Thanks for visiting.
So many great projects! Happy New Year, Carolyn!
