Happy Friday everyone and welcome to The Inspiration Board Spotlight! I love looking through all the linked up projects and featuring some of you in the Spotlight. Things are starting to get back to normal at Casa de Homework or at least not quite as out of control as during the holidays and the immediate post holiday frenzy. How about you? Are you starting 2014 caught up, organized and ready to take the year by storm? No… me neither but I should be ready by mid-year or so.
If you didn’t get a chance to stop by this week, here’s a little recap of what I shared.
Now on to the projects in the spotlight this week.
For the Love of Decorating spruced up her Ikea cabinet with some curtains. The fabric makes a huge impact and she can easily change it out since she used push pins instead of adhesive.

Is it cold where you live? Don’t hate me but it’s 81 degrees right now where I live. Even so, this Potato Corn Chowder by
Anderson & Grant looks amazing and will warm you up in no time.

It’s truly amazing what a difference a small change in a room can make.
Sweet Parrish Place simple replaced the curtains in this room and it transforms the entire space.

An updated guest bathroom by
Forever Decorating. Wouldn’t you love to be a guest in her house? So many pretty details like those amazing light fixtures and the beautiful mirror.
The Casual Craftlete shares some yummy looking Blueberry Flax Granola. I need to make some of this and keep it on my desk so I’ll stop reaching for the leftover Christmas candy.

Here’s a genius way to upcycle an old plate and bowl.
Ode to Inspiration turned a glass bowl into a domed lid by simple adding a knob. I love it and I need to make some.
The DIY Home Girl share her new townhouse decorated beautifully in navy and cobalt. On trend Ikat and paisley pillows create a comfy sitting area. Such a clean look and feel.
Peaches and Bees made her daughter an adorable plaid poncho. The wool plaid is classic and reminds me of the Burberry signature plaid.
Homey Oh My takes an ordinary ceramic salad plate and turns it into a fantastic, unique jewelry tray using painters tape and a gold leaf pen. I’d say she knocked this one out of the ballpark. Gorgeous!

As I mentioned above, it’s 81 degrees where I live and there’s a small part of (very small) that would love a real winter day. This Birch Branch Winter Woodland Tablescape by
An Extraordinary Day makes me want to take a walk through the snow and smell the evergreen.
