UPCYCLING: K-Cup Holiday Gnomes

Recycled K Cup Holiday Gnomes
For my birthday this past summer I got a Keurig Coffee Machine and I have to say, it’s my new bestie. I love how easy it is to make a cup of coffee whenever I want one without wasting a whole pot of coffee. How spoiled are we that we can press a button and voila – a fresh cup of coffee. There is a little bit of guilt with each cup when I throw away that little plastic K-Cup. Uggh. I was determined to come up with an idea to recycle some of the K-Cups. The light bulb went off one day because I’ve also been wanting to make some gnomes for the holiday season.

HOMEROOM: Minted Wall Gallery {the blues}

Minted Wall Gallery Beach PrintsHello, hello friends. I’ve been on a little break but I’m so excited my first fresh post of the year is all about a room refresh. While I was taking a little blog break, the good folks over at MINTED invited me to pick out a few pieces of artwork from their amazing selection. I think I could have scrolled through the prints for days. Good thing you can sort by theme and color.

Etceteras: vintage button snowflake

Snowflake 12I was invited to a Snowflake Party. Now, I know for most you that won’t sound strange but many people will be wondering what the heck a Snowflake Party is. For instance, when I told my family that dinner would be a bit delayed because I was finishing my project for a Snowflake Party – they gave me that blank look that I often get…   A Snowflake Party is basically a group of bloggers and a hostess all creating a themed project. Fun!

FRIDAY: High Five

Holiday Beauty Gifts and Friday High Five
Happy Friday everyone. If you’re here in the United States, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving, filled with family and feasting. I’m blessed to have my family here in Los Angeles where we can spend holidays together. We all make two or three dishes and still follow tradition and gather at my parent’s house. How lucky am I?

So on this day after Thanksgiving, let’s give thanks for a wonderful week and maybe do a little shopping. Here’s what I’m high fiving about this week.

DRESS CODE: Business Travel Fall Wardrobe

What I Wore for a week of business travelI left sunny and warm Southern California at the crack of dawn a a few weeks ago for my usual week of business travel to the beautiful Pacific Northwest. It’s always a little challenging packing for a week of work especially when you can’t wrap your head around the fact that it’s going to be cold. I made some good choices and once again learned a thing or two about packing for the week. Here’s what I wore.
