GOOD TASTE: Peanut Butter Chocolate Button Cookies

Peanut Butter Chocolate Button Cookies via homework - carolynshomework (3)Did I mention we’re having an end-of-summer heat wave here in Southern California? We are. The kind of heat where you just don’t want to do anything. Plus, since we live near the coast, we don’t have air conditioning. We rely on an ocean breeze that has been letting us down lately.

It was so hot but I had a peanut butter cookie mix in the cupboard and they’re pretty good. I keep cake and cookie mixes stocked for those crazy “gotta have something” cravings! I also found some really nice chocolate candies and decided to make a peanut butter blossoms or buttons.

These cookies from a mix are pretty good but when you add a chocolate candy to them, they are down right yummy! So if you’re ever in a pinch, I recommend Betty Crocker Peanut Butter Cookie Mix and I added Droste Chocolate Pastilles to the cookies before I baked them. But any type of chocolate will do.

Thank you so much for stopping by.
