Have I mentioned my glitter obsession this holiday season? Maybe once or twice or ten times. I’ve been sticking glitter to a lot of things but this by far has been the most fun.

I tried out the new Martha Stewart Rich Essentials Glitter Set. The Martha Stewart glitter is amazing. It’s super sparkly and the colors in this set are amazing. How can you resist glitter with names like; Tanzanite, Citrine, White Gold & Blue Topaz.

I used Martha Stewart self-adhesive stencils to create the numbers. Stick the stencil to the little coin envelope, brush or dab on Mod Podge or glue and then sprinkle the glitter. Let it set for a minute or two and then carefully lift the stencil.

And here’s what I made - a New Year countdown. But this countdown will countdown the seconds before midnight - not the days.

Fill each envelope with confetti and let the celebration begin.

ReplyDeleteLove them!! Thank you for sharing another great project with my readers!
ReplyDeleteI've been a huge glitteroti fan of Martha's Glitter from the day it came out. It was the most sparkly glitter out there and affordable. Now lots of companies have added glitter to their product lines but Martha remains my favorite for sheer sparkle.
ReplyDeleteYour rainbow envelops are adorable but I have to ask…what are you counting down? Is it purely for decoration or do you envision them being opened at some point? Pure decor is fine- I have an advent calendar that is basically vintage rhinestone pins and glittered objects…nothing to open but you have filled them with awesome confetti so I must assume you will open them.
Very pretty! I can't resist anything made with glitter!
