The Inspiration Board: link party spotlight ~82~ & a new year roundup

Thank you to everyone who stopped by this week and shared a project on the Inspiration Board. It was a smaller, more intimate gathering this week but as always, all the projects were wonderful.

As we head into the New Year, I want to thank you all for your visits, comments, links and friendship. Some days I can’t believe how many of you stop by to visit my little corner of the creative world here at homework. I’m looking forward to another year of creative sharing with all of you.

As we head into the last weekend of 2012, enjoy these projects in the spotlight this week.

a1A stunning holiday treat box by Sandy’s Space. Chocolate truffles are nestled inside the beautiful box made out of folded and cut paper with a self locking top. Pretty pins add a festive touch. Sandy always creates the most beautiful paper projects.

8 window with wreathMy Girlish Whims created a winter pearl wreath that will work well past the holidays. I’m not sure how many pearls it took to make the wreath but it is amazing. I don’t think I’d ever take it down. I’d just change the ribbon color to fit the holiday or season. So pretty!

cranberrychocolatechipcookies-001_zpsaefda56bRaegun Wear share her Cranberry White Chocolate Chip Cookies and they look delicious. One of the prettiest things is the color of fresh cranberries and when they are cooked and burst open the color is even more vivid. Add some white chocolate and a yummy cookie base and you have one amazing cookie.

DSC_0111Have you ever heard of snow ice cream? Being from California, I had never heard of it. Lilikoi Joi shows us how to make snow ice cream using real snow. I can only imagine how fun it must be for kids to run outside with a bowl to scoop up fresh, clean snow to make this.

kindle 1JacOlyn Murphy made the cutest New Year’s Eve party favors. Bundled kindling to get “fired up for 2013”. So creative!

And, from the Inspiration Board {link party} archives, here are some fantastic
New Year’s Eve projects.

Rookno17_New_Year_Tradition_Craft 088Rook No. 17 created these beautiful cans for new year hopes, wishes and dreams. Write them down and seal them up. Take a peak mid-year or wait until the following new year to reflect on your dreams. Jenn created these last year for the 2012 New Year but has generously updated the free printable for 2013!

a6Another beautiful paper craft from Sandy’s Space. New Year’s crackers or poppers made from tissue, tulle and other pretty embellishments. As always, beautifully presented.

IMG_848752 Mantels has shared many, many mantels with us and they are always so pretty. Her Happy 2012 mantel was no exception. Fresh evergreen, silver, crystal and white come together to ring in the new year.

003Another fun new year celebration by Homespun with Love. Classic black and white with little touches of gold, silver and blue. And at center stage, a new year champagne girl vintage graphic from The Graphics Fairy.

diy party hat 4What New Year’s Eve celebration would be complete without party hats. A Pumpkin and a Princess created these glittery fun party hat for her kids. However, I’m sure there are a few adults out there who would love to ring in the new year with one of these hats.

Thank you again to everyone who linked a project and to everyone who came to visit. I loved looking at all the projects and visiting your sites.
