ETCETERAS: SPORTS GIFT BAG

My son has played sports his entire life. When he was younger he played football, basketball, volleyball and baseball. It was a never ending cycle of sporting events. I lost count of how many times I was the team mom.



Now a days, he only plays one sport – volleyball. But he plays it year round. And guess what, I’m the team mom for his high school team and his club volleyball team. How does that happen?


One of the responsibilities of the team mom is to come up with gift ideas for various events. Gifts for players, coaches and parents. One of the events I’m in charge of is Senior Night. It’s a night to honor the high school senior players and their parents. I thought these Canvas Tote Bags from Shutterfly would be perfect to present to the moms. Each bag will have an action shot of their child, their name and team gifts in the bag. I may even use a team photo for the coach’s gifts.


All you have to do is upload a photo and order your bag. For this Canvas Tote Bag, I used my son’s photo as an example and played around with the photo prior to uploading it to achieve the blurred effect. That was just a personal choice – your photo can be clear and sharp or have fun effects.

Once my bag arrived, I added my son’s name using some scrapbook dimensional letters.

These are going to be great! I hope the moms treasure the bags and carry them proudly as their high school seniors get ready to embark on the next phase of their lives.
