To make these shooting stars, I used the Lifestyles Crafts Star Punches. These punch dies create a row of the same shape so you don’t have to run the die through your machine several times. Plus, the die creates a nice embossed border around each star.
The metallic paper is also by Lifestyles Crafts. They’re Adhesive Metal Sheets and you can run them through your Evolution machine and then remove the back to stick them to a variety of surfaces. I wanted my stars to be 2-sided so I stuck the entire sheet onto blue and red scrapbook paper and then ran them through the Evolution.
Here’s the step-by-step.. 1. Create your stars using the Star Punch and the Evolution Machine. 2. Make your napkin rings using paper towel rolls cut to the width of your ribbon. Punch a small hole in the tube so you can pierce the wires through. Adhere the ribbon around the tube. 3. Add some fun trim like red mini pompoms. 4. Pierce wire through the hole in the tube and through the ribbon. Secure the end wires inside the tube with tape. Use glue dots to stick the stars to the wire.
Aren’t they fun?
Stars: Lifestyle Craft Star Punches, Evolution Machine, Adhesive Metal Sheets, Red or Blue Scrapbook Paper.
Napkin Rings: Paper Towel Tubes, Ribbon, Pompom Trim, glue, glue dots, wire
Use the napkin rings for an indoor patriotic meal or and outdoor barbeque.
You can use the leftover stars sprinkled around the table or on straws.
Hooray for red, white & blue.
