The Inspiration Board: link party spotlight ~81~

Welcome to the Inspiration Board spotlight. If you linked a project here this week, I want to thank you so much for sharing your creativity and inspiring me. With so many link parties available, I’m so happy to be on your link party list.

Well, it’s Friday and we have one weekend before Christmas. It’s time to kick it in high gear and finish baking the treats, wrapping the gifts and making final preparations for a holiday feast. At least, that’s what I’ll be doing this weekend.

While I’m running around in a frenzy of tissue paper, ribbon, measuring cups and last minute glue gunning -  grab a mug of hot chocolate and check out the projects in the spotlight this week. There are a few Christmas projects included but for the most part, I tried to pick things that would work for New Years and beyond. Enjoy the inspiration!

Thanks to Imprintalish, I’ve added another item to my list this weekend. These homemade peppermint patties look too good to pass up. I need to make these, oh and then eat them.

Glitter-Wine-Bottle-Gift-Tag-4What a fantastic way to add some sparkle and personalization to a wine bottle. Oh My Creative shows you how to make this and I’m thinking these would be perfect for champagne on New Year’s Eve!

shortbreadrecipebestandeasy109Oh dear… shortbread is my absolute favorite holiday treat. It’s Always Autumn shares her simple and delicious recipe and takes shortbread to new heights with chocolate drizzle.

Holiday Dress Sew Can Do BodiceSew Can Do made this darling holiday dress similar to the vintage style dresses you would find at Mod Cloth. Look at the crisp bow and beautiful seams. The sweet fabric and a perfect fit make this dress all the more festive.

5-DSC_5380Here’s something I would never of thought you could make yourself. Classic sugar rolled gumdrops. Mom on Timeout made these Christmas gumdrops but these could easily be adapted for year round gummy goodness.

376461_2205222819382_998622931_n-e1355079732186SW Boutique departed from crafty creations to share a day spent with her family at the Lebanon Horse and Carriage Parade. The pictures are stunning, the horses are so majestic and what a treat to build memories spending time with family.

10Homemade gifts are always special and Moore Minutes shows us three different ideas including these mulling spice bundles. I love the presentation, the sweet and simple tags and the mugs to make the gift extra special.

Caramelized-Pear-Bread-PuddingSouthern Mom Cooks says this is a healthy option for a holiday dessert and I’m all for that. Wouldn’t this Caramelized Pear Bread Pudding look beautiful on a holiday buffet or for a New Year’s party.

0ombre_duvet9Smart Girl Style made these beautiful ombre ruched duvet covers. Would you believe they started as one white queen sheet. Cut into strips, dyed in the sink, and sewn together – I’m in absolute awe. Click over for the step by step – you’ll be amazed.

[UNSET]I’m in love with this idea from Nissa Made. Little fingerprint tile magnets to give as gifts for a large extended family. Honestly, I would be tempted to keep the entire set for myself – they are just adorable.
