Happy Friday everyone! I’m back but still getting caught up. Life moves at such a fast pace that it’s amazing how far you fall behind when you’re away for awhile. I’m slowly digging myself out and will be back with some creative projects soon. In the meantime, today I have double features to share with you. Features from The Inspiration Board [108] and [109]. So today’s post is absolutely brimming with inspirational projects.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to visit or share their projects in the past few weeks. Enjoy!

Grow Creative has painted the sweetest little blue bike for some summer inspiration. I love a good classic art project like this simple design done in water colors.
An Extraordinary Day has combined several trends to create this lovely tablescape. Vintage blue mason jars, book pages, and delicate blossoms all ready for everyone to take a seat and enjoy. I’m thinking the setting is perfect for tea and scones or a light lunch with friends.
Speaking of tea, this Vintage Style Tea Party by Max and Me is sweet perfection. The stars of the show are those magnificent tissue paper pom poms hanging on the wall. Everything else is perfectly understated – the vintage birdcage, bunny cloche and simple cake and milk.
I never feel guilty eating strawberry shortcake. You know, because it’s in the fruit category. With Luck Blog shares her recipe for homemade strawberry shortcake perfect for a summertime get together. Yum!
I think I’m going to start a Potting Bench Pinboard because I keep running across fantastic ideas to reuse items and turn them into a potting bench. I love this idea from Restyled Junk. An old screen door turned potting bench and painted a fantastic color.
Are you addicted to Instagram? I have to confess, I’m an Instagram newbie but so far I love it. Allons-y Kimberly used Instagram prints to cover two huge sliding closet doors in her rental.
You would never have guessed that this pretty wicker holder was once a lamp shade from Bali. A little paint job by Passion Shake and it’s transformed into a piece that works with lighter and more delicate décor.
If I had a little girl this is what I would imagine for her birthday party. Pretty in pink tissue paper pom poms, paper lanterns and tulle by Windsor and Main would make any girl feel like a princess.
The Fourth of July was yesterday but I still wanted to share these great red, white and blue dessert ideas so you could file them away for the next patriotic event. Oh My Creative jazzed up some pretzel sticks with sugary fireworks and Hungry Happenings created white chocolate flying sprinkles or fireworks shooting out of cupcakes.

Strawberry Chantilly Cream Meringue. Just the name of it sounds melt-in-your-mouth good. Lemon and Lime Thyme made these wonderful meringue nests, filled with Chantilly Cream and berries and topped with chocolate shavings. Oh.My.Stars!!I love this vintage suitcase side table by Artsy Vava. The bright red suitcase on that wonderful table base. The bonus is the storage inside the suitcase. Perfect for magazines, remotes or even your knitting bag.
I’ve been wanting to make candied citrus peel for the longest time. Will Cook for Smiles made these candied lemon peels that look beautiful and I’m sure are amazing. I can’t wait to make these.
A stunning and striking project by Ashbee Design. Upcycled bottles spray painted flat black and decorated with wood veneer cut into triangles. Absolutely gorgeous!
To me, this is the perfect summer meal. Greek Chicken Gyros & Tzatziki Sauce by Lemon and Lime Thyme combines so of many of my favorite things. The grilled chicken, the fresh greens and that yogurt based sauce that is heavenly!
Such a sweet baby girl nursery by So Much Better with Age. The palest pink walls and pretty décor. I love the vintage shelf in the corner turned mini coat hanger.
CuriositaEllya has me rethinking my next cake. Her naked or non-frosted cake is beautiful and since I’m a little frosting-challenged this would be the perfect type of cake for me to make.
I’ve seen a lot of flip flop refashions and even did one myself but this quick and easy sandal refashion by Deepi’s World is so much fun. The little wooden beads give the sandals a whole new look.
This classic cherry pie by True Blue Baking was made for the Fourth of July complete with pretty star crust cutouts.Any type of crust top can be made so this tasty treat can be enjoyed year round.
One final patriotic project that had to be shared. A diy silverware and napkin caddy distressed and painted in the stars and stripes by Creative Dominican. Perfect for all your summertime outdoor gatherings, even after the Fourth of July.
