The Inspiration Board: creative party [110]

Jellyfish 5_Final[3]From my archives – crepe paper jellyfish

Happy Tuesday everyone! Is it hot where you live? We had a heat wave last week and oh boy was it hot. When I was traveling I was in 102 degree dry heat and when I returned, I came back to 90 degree very humid weather. Hmmm, I'm not sure which is worse. It's cooled off since - thank goodness - so I can get back to crafting and creating. In the meantime, I can't wait to see what you've been up to.

A few rules:
  • Link up your own project - something you created, made, did or something that inspires creativity.
  • Grab a “homework” button and include it somewhere on your blog.
  • Follow homework. You’ll find the “Follow via Google Friend Connect” gadget on the right sidebar.
  • Please visit the other links that intrigue you and make someone smile with a comment or two.
  • By linking your project, you are granting me permission to feature your project here on homework, via social media or on my new blog Details.
  • If you have a giveaway, I have a separate giveaway link party - see the Giveaway Link Party tab at the top of the page.
I’m ready to be inspired - don’t forget to add my button somewhere on your blog. Spreading the word helps bring more visitors to your linked project.

  3. Hi Carolyn!
I can hardly complain...it's been in the 80's humid and it rains almost every day. But 90's UGH! Though I confess to melting much past 75 degrees. :)
I love your jelly fish. Several years ago I made some for VBS at my church and I used plastic tablecloth that comes in rolls and clear balloons. The tablecloth is really lightweight and floaty and was cut in a wavy fashion....a large 'circle' going over the balloon and then the appendages were also cut wavy and were many and long like yours. The funny thing...I can't remember how they (appendages) were attached. The JFish turned out beautifully...which was pretty exciting. Getting the clear balloons was the tricky part...and getting larger ones was expensive...but so worth it to have so many sizes of JFish.
Hope you have an Extraordinary week!
