The Inspiration Board: Spotlight 163 & Good Wood Inspiration

Happy Friday everyone! It’s so good to be back. I’m staying put for awhile but as I announced on Tuesday at the link party, I’ve started working full time again and so things may get a little hectic. My goal is to continue here on my blog as if nothing has changed. Wish me luck…

If things were hectic for you and you didn’t have a chance to stop by this week, here’s what was happening here on homework.

Plus, I have a fantastic giveaway for a $500 Visa Gift Card and HP Chromebook. Enter the giveaway here.

A huge thank you to all of you who stopped by this week, commented, emailed and shared your creativity on The Inspiration Board. You all make me smile and inspire me! And now for the projects in the spotlight this week.

fragrant-chickpea-salad2-750x410This chickpea salad by Pink Recipe Box looks so good. What a great alternative to a plain old lettuce salad.

Creative Khadija shares this beautiful painted glass jar. The rich jewel tone color is so pretty with the gold trim.

emboss resist 1Paper Seedlings teaches us a card making technique called emboss resist. Look how pretty the raised embossed areas are.

1-Features 163-001I chose both of these blueberry recipes and couldn’t resist featuring them side-by-side. The little devil sitting on my left shoulder is telling me to make the Lemon Blueberry Pound Cake by Keep It Simple Sweetie. The little angel sitting on my right shoulder is telling me to make the Blueberry and Apple Rice Cake by Sweet Silly Sara. I think I’m going to make both.

palletdeckI can’t imagine the hours, days, weeks of work this pallet deck by Scrapability must have taken to build. But what a great use of pallets and how rewarding it must be to sit out on this deck.

MG_2871-copyOur Adventure Story shares a day of bird watching with the kids. Fun binoculars and printable bird watching activities make this a summer day to remember.

diy travel journal 2The Pin Junkie used pretty vintage maps to turn a plain memo pad into a fun travel journal for an upcoming trip. Fun!

IMG_8311-1024x1024This Artic Small World kid activity by My Big Fat Happy Life is brilliant. Frozen colored ice, some artic animals and a little water are sure to be good for hours of play time. Can I come over and play?

Guest Room 5 watermarkedThe Heathered Nest is a new blog to me and I love what I see. This gorgeous guest room is screaming my name. Love it!
