Etceteras: pasta box birdhouse

Pasta is a popular dinner choice in our house and the pasta boxes are perfect for crafting since they have a built in windows.

There are lots of things you can make with these boxes. I thought birdhouses would be fun.

Here’s how you can make these birdhouses.
  • Open up the bottom and top of the box.
  • Lay the box flat and cut off part of the bottom and top of the box. Keep these pieces to make the roof.
  • Cut out the “A” frame part of the roof and secure to the sides of the house with tape.
  • Cut out the roof and secure with tape.
  • Cover your box with paper.
  • Add birds to the inside so they’re peeking through the window

This project can also be modified for a child’s craft. Use whole sheets of paper instead of shingles or paint the box with craft paint.

Pasta box birdhouses – a great excuse to eat more pasta.

  3. Someone just needs to bottle and SELL you, Carolyn! You are the culmination of a million beautiful ideas! I'll take 100 bottles of Carolyn, please! Incidentally, I generally buy pasta in a bag, but I swear I will buy some boxed pasta just to make one of these!
