Upcycling: faux snow globe

I wanted to make a snow globe during the holidays but I didn’t have a few key ingredients, namely, glycerin and epoxy. You can find tutorial to make your own snow globe if you just Google “make a snow globe”.  I was planning on buying those items but never got around to it.

In the meantime, I made a faux snow globe. It’s not really a snow globe because there’s no snow, or water, or winter scene.

But I love how this turned out. All I did was arrange some twigs and flowers from the garden on a flower frog. Once I was happy with the arrangement, I covered it with a round vase.

I was going to spray a little canned snow on the arrangement but I was in the mood for a little color and left the snow off.

This is ready to display - you just can’t shake it.

  1. See, Carolyn? This was EXACTLY the kind of thing I was talking about when I said you are a TRUE decorator! Simplicity = elegance! You should be in magazines! Really!
