The Inspiration Board: spotlight {98}

Happy Friday friends! Another whirlwind week here on homework. I’ve been working on a lot of new projects and fun things for the warmer weather. One of my bigger projects is to fix up our patio with new cushions and pillows. I just have to clear away a few more things on my craft desk so I have room to bust out my sewing machine! I can’t wait to freshen up my dingy patio.

While I’m trying to remember how to thread my sewing machine, enjoy these projects in the spotlight this week.

IMG_0084 (1)Homemade crepes by Ashley’s Dandelion Wishes. Don’t these look amazing? Homemade crepes with freshly whipped cream and perfectly ripe strawberries and blackberries. Oh my!

bedroomI love this turquoise and hot pink little girl’s room by Life a Little Brighter. The turquoise walls are so refreshing and the pop of hot pink adds the pizzazz.

Spinach-Feta-Parmesan-Crusted-Grilled-Cheese-1edThis grilled cheese has been kicked up quite a few notches from your everyday kid’s grilled cheese. Spinach, Feta and Parmesan crusted grilled cheese by Will Cook for Smiles. Yes please!

SewingChair1aForever Decorating covered her office chair in a vintage feed sack and it looks so cute. But what caught my eye was that dollhouse on her desk. What a fantastic idea – it’s backless and it covers her sewing machine. I love it!

IMG_1014aI’ve been seeing a few pillow case dresses here and there. This darling denim pillow case dress by Peaches and Bees has a touch of country especially with the darling gingham ribbon ruffles.

Log Slice vase 11I love natural elements and Ashbee Design has created a gorgeous log slice vase and inserted a simple glass tube to hold the flowers. The rough texture of the bark and the delicate Forsythia branches balance each other perfectly.

10-gumball-picture-done-hooplapaloozaThis Make Life Sweet picture by Hoopla Palooza is just brimming with happiness. Those cheery bright colored gumballs can’t help but make you smile.

after1-copyThis herringbone headboard by Moor of Everything is painted directly onto the wall. The pattern was taped off and painted with this beautiful shade of grey. I love bold pattern and contrast.

cake bouquet, cookie bouquet, Mother's Day recipe, bridal shower dessert, wedding 2 These little daisy mini cakes by Hungry Happenings look pop in your mouth good. The sweetest spring colors piled together to create a spring cake bouquet – these are sure to impress at a party.

Design Dreams by Anne has given her mudroom / laundry a makeover. So many cute décor touches but I love this potting table and the vintage seed packet prints hanging on the side of the dryer. What a happy room.

  6. Carolyn, Thanks for including my log slice vase in your round-up. It is still looking terrific with the force forsythia even though the ones outside have started to bloom as well.
