Some of my favorite project and crafts supplies are recyclable items. Over the past few years, I’ve shared many “upcycling” and “recycling” projects.
I love making things from items that would normally get thrown away. We do recycle in our family. We have several bins for paper, plastic and metal. And I’m always grabbing things and adding them to my craft supply bin. Here’s are a few projects that I created from “trash”.
1. An old sweater wrapped around a coffee can becomes new storage. 2. Paper towel rolls become seedling pots. 3. An old box becomes a bin for e-waste like dead batteries. 4. Newspaper rolled up becomes herb starter pots. 5. A paper towel tube covered in fabric makes a great eye glass case. 6. Plastic container cut into mini greenhouses.
1. Paper scraps remade into paper tags. 2. Packaging paper wrapped around cans 3. Security envelope scratch paper 4. Brown grocery bag wreath 5. Security envelope note pads 6. Old t-shirts to coasters
Besides recycling and upcycling, I like to try to buy eco-friendly products when I can. So this is exciting news - Walmart has an exclusive new line of bath and tissue products that are made from 100 percent recycled fibers. Introducing paper products from White Cloud GreenEarth. With GreenEarth we can all live green without breaking the bank. GreenEarth products maintain the highest standards of quality while still remaining affordable. Plus, all GreenEarth products maintain a Forest Stewardship Council certification. Yay for being green!
