I’m trying to learn how to frost cupcakes so that they’re oooh and ahhh worthy. This is my first attempt at the swirl technique. I definitely need some more practice but thankfully I had some pretty cupcake holders to detract from my mediocre frosting skills. The cupcake is in a black & white polka dot baking cup and then nestled in a beautiful pearl paper floral cupcake wrapper.
More swirled frosting practice with chocolate sprinkles on top. I used a black birdcage cupcake wrapper for this one.
The frosting on this one is a little sad so I smothered it with crushed cookie sprinkles. I thought it looked like a kid-friendly cupcake that would be perfect for a birthday party.
Ahh – it looks much better with a pretty candle on top.
I need to practice some more and learn some other techniques like flowers and rosettes.
I would share recipes with you but since these were practice cupcakes I used a mix. Shhhh – don’t tell.
And all the beautiful baking cups and cupcake wrappers are from
WholePort.
Thanks for visiting.
I link at the wonderful parties listed here.
I received complimentary supplies from WholePort but no further compensation was received. All opinions are mine.
So beautiful!!! I can't tell if they are tasty. But, they look tasty!!! Pinning!
