Inkling: sympathy card

Sympathy Card 2I usually love making handmade cards. Of course, there’s that rare occasion when there’s no joy in making a card.

Sympathy Card 3The cards at the store never seem to have the right message. Not that there is a right message. What can one really say? I opted for the simplest message.

Sympathy Card 5And even though the card may never be looked at again, possibly thrown away or tucked away, I wanted it to look nice and show that I cared. Little bits from scrapbook embellishments, rice paper and a pretty pearl white card.

Sympathy Card 1Even though not all creativity and crafting is joyful, it can still be pretty and meaningful. And even if you use a store bought card, it’s really the handwritten message inside that matters.

Thanks for visiting.
