The other day I made these lemon bars. Not key lime, or coconut, or raspberry lemon bars. The old fashioned lemon square recipe that has been in my recipe box for decades.

It has ridiculous amounts of butter and sugar but of course, that’s why it’s so darn good. I added some blueberries to pretty them up but honestly, I prefer them plain. Just lemony and buttery and yummy. I’m sure you’ve probably made these but I included the recipe at the bottom of this post in case you want to try these. They’re a childhood favorite of mine.
I actually searched through my posts to double check that I hadn’t posted Lemon Square before and I discovered that although I hadn’t shared Lemon Square before, I have shared quite a few lemon posts. Here are a few.

This tip on
how to remove a rust stain on fabric using lemon juice and salt was very popular. Bleach doesn’t take out a rust stain. You need a little chemistry and this solution does the trick.

Feel free to grab this Old Fashioned Lemon Square recipe. I first saw the recipe in my elementary school cookbook and it was submitted by one of my favorite teachers, Mrs. Werlin. I’ve been making them ever since.

Thanks for visiting my little corner of the creative world.
