I have to confess, I’m a bit of a notepad hoarder. I love pretty notepads and often receive them as gifts. The problem is I love them so much I don’t use them. I’ll grab other bits of paper to jot a note and “save” my pretty notepads.

As part of my new year decluttering, I’m starting to work on my office/craft room. It’s a mess and things have really piled up. I came to the conclusion that I really need to start using some of my notepads. It’s silly to leave them on display or stacked up by the phone with no intention of writing on them.

While cleaning out one area, I found these canvas boards left over from another project. I wanted a simple solution to that I could add another notepad once the first one is used up. I used this super sticky double-sided tape to adhere the notepad.

And, I used the same super sticky tape to create a little pencil holder. Just a loop of twill ribbon – easy!

This pencil is cute but not terribly practical. It’s a little hard to sharpen. No worries, I always have bins of pens and pencils nearby and will just keep this one in place for decoration.

I have a few more canvas boards and I’m planning on making another one for my grocery list / menu plan. And since I like things in 3’s, I might make one more – either another pretty notepad or a to-do list. Once they’re all done, I can use velcro strips to hang them and create a little command center.
One small step for toward organization… several more large steps to go but I’ll get there.
Thanks so much for stopping by.
