HOMEWORK: A Small Change for the Better

Hello friends! Many of you already know that I’ve been blogging for over 4 years now. When I started blogging my work as a marketing consultant had slowed (aka unemployed). About a year and a half ago, I started consulting again part time. Six months ago the company I was consulting for hired me full time and I’ve been juggling the blog schedule and my job ever since. It’s actually very doable since our son is now in college. I work on this blog in the early mornings (with my coffee), evenings and weekends.

Starting this week, I’m going to make a few small changes to the blog schedule to allow me more time over the weekends to prepare the posts. I want to enjoy the process instead of feeling rushed and stressed to meet deadlines. Currently, I host The Inspiration Board Creative Party every Tuesday and post the features every Friday with my projects on the other days.

Here’s what you can expect starting this week.

Monday:

Features from the previous link party. This will give me more time to go through the links which I love doing.

Tuesday:

As always for the past 190 weeks, The Inspiration Board Creative Party will open. But instead of the party running from Tuesday through Thursday. The party will be open from Tuesday through Saturday. Two more days to link up. It gives you more time and me more time to check out your projects.

Wednesday:

A new project by me – a craft, diy, recipe, a little of this, a little of that. The same things you’ve come to expect here on homework.

Thursday:

This day will be flexible. I’m going to be creating more free printables, you may see a book review now and again, round ups or possibly shared inspiration.

Friday:

Weekend Inspiration. In the past, I’ve always included an Inspiration Pinboard with the features. These were projects from the link party that I grouped together with a theme. This will become a separate post to end each week. It will probably be a short post with the intention of inspiring us through the weekend.

I’m super excited about the new schedule and I think it will allow me more time to be creative and share inspirational things with all of you. Hooray for small changes.
