To show off the black lace, I chose a square glass vase. The lace is from
Wholeport and it was perfect for this project because it was very deep measuring approximately 10 inches.

Start by measuring how much lace you’ll need to wrap around your vase. Cut your piece of lace a little longer, you know, just in case. Apply a decoupage medium to your glass. I worked on one side at a time making sure the lace was straight. You can use binder clips or clothes pins to secure the lace to the top of the vase. Once you work all the way around trim the final edge so that it meets up the first edge but does not overlap. In the photo above the decoupage is still wet.
Once the decoupage is dry apply decoupage to the bottom and neatly fold the over hang under the vase. I folded mine like I was wrapping a gift. After everything is dry apply another coat of decoupage on top of the lace on the sides and let dry completely.

Add some candles and make a fun centerpiece that any witch or conjourer would love.

A black feather quill perfect for writing in a spell book.

Magical potions or mysterious poison?

A pretty goblet or a poisoned chalice?

The black lace votive can look innocent and elegant by day but with the right accessories and a darkened room it looks down right spooky.
Thanks for visiting.
I LOVE this!
