Where did the summer go? It seems like a minute ago, the entire summer was ahead of us. I had big plans. I was going to get refreshed, organized and ready for fall. And then in a blink, summer is almost over and I’m not refreshed, organized or ready for fall. Oh well, like it or not, fall is around the corner and it’s back-to-school time.
I love all the back-to-school inspiration. I’m in awe of darling bento box lunches with sandwiches in the shape of animals and wonderful embroidered lunch bags. But for me, I need easy and make-life-easier type projects. Back to school means getting organized and ready for the hectic schedule.
I’ve rounded up some ideas that are easy to achieve and some that will make life a little easier as the school activities take over our lives.

Get clothes ready for the week so that mornings will go smoother and there’s no wasting time deciding what outfit to wear. A little pre-planning will go a long way and these Day of the Week Markers by
Authentic Parent are perfect for getting organized.

These back-to-school cupcakes won’t necessarily make your life easier but aren’t they fun. Celebrate the first day of school with something special. Back to school cupcakes by

The key to a less stressful week is to have the cupboards and fridge stocked with after school snacks. If you have some time over the weekend, make a batch of Chewy Fruit Nut Bars for a healthier alternative to the typical after school snack. Recipe and photo by
William Sonoma.

Another great idea for sprucing up school supplies by
Brunch at Saks. A little glue and glitter will go a long way and really makes these pencils look special.

School mornings… can anything be more hectic. Packing lunches, sorting backpacks and driving carpool. Who has time for breakfast. These freezer breakfast burritos are genius. I’ve seen many, many variations but these Omelet Breakfast Burritos by
She Wears Many Hats look pretty yummy to me.

I Heart Organizing gets an A+ for organization. There’s nothing worse than running out of lunch food mid-week. Corral all your luncheables in a bin so that they don’t get eaten. Pull it out in the morning to make lunch making a snap.
Are you ready for back-to-school? Now is the time to get organized and prepared because once they’re back, time management takes on a whole different meaning.
Thank you so much for stopping by.
