Woot! It’s Friday friends! We crafted, baked, decorated and diyed through another week. Today is the big day when we move our son into his new college dorm and his new adventure. I’m so excited for him but of course, feeling like my little baby bird is leaving the nest. So while I pack up the car with what seems like everything he could possibly need, drive to his new school and get his room set up, enjoy the projects in the spotlight this week.
If you didn’t get a chance to drop by this week, here’s what I shared.

And here are the projects in the Spotlight this week.

Hello fall! This Rustic Country Whole Grain Wreath by
Keeping with the Times is gorgeous. How lucky to be able to gather up all that wheat to make this bountiful wreath.

Beautiful DIY Watercolor Abstract Art by
Setting for Four. You don’t even have to own watercolors to create these pieces. Yup, there’s an app for that.

An adorable baby boy nursery with DIY Board and Batten by
Absolutely Loving my Life. The dark blue accents are so striking against the crisp white board and batten.

What a perfect summer day. An outdoor reading day by
Moore Minutes. Set up blankets, pillows, a teepee and a pile of books for a day of fresh air and reading.

Covering books with brown grocery bags was an annual event when I was young. These jazzed up book covers by
Black and White Obsession are a lot prettier than my covers used to be.

What a gorgeous room by
Meegan Makes. The focal point is her new chair but there are so many beautiful details in this room.

Three cheers for recycled cereal boxes. This paper organizer by
Vintage, Paint and More started out as three cereal boxes and look at it now!
Woods of Bell Trees hand stenciled a concrete floor. I’m in awe of the hours of work that went into this gorgeous and unique floor.

A simple change from a silver lamp to a gold lamp makes a huge difference.
The North End Loft used rub and buff to instantly give this lamp an elegant look.

When you don’t want to turn on the oven, this No Bake Lemon Slice by
Eliza Ellis is a great alternative. I can’t wait to make these lemony treats!

Thank you again to everyone who linked a project and to everyone who came to visit. I loved looking at all the projects and visiting your sites.
Thanks for visiting.
Thankyou for the wonderful feature Carolyn! What a lovely surprise :)
ReplyDeleteThank you for featuring my lamps, Carolyn. Dropping off a "child" at college is such a huge event in a parent's life. Thank heaven for cell phones! : )
ReplyDeleteCarolyn, always so hard to let those young'uns go. I can understand completely how you feel. Thank you so much for including my paper organizer amongst your features this week. Hope all goes well with the move. Cathy
