Happy Monday everyone! I’m so excited to share this project with you. This is another craft I’ve been eager to try. Gold leaf seems to be all the rage and I finally got some gold leaf sheets and tested out the technique. What fun!

I wanted to achieve a natural look for my gold leaf. As if the concrete had natural flecks of gold running through it.

I dappled Mod Podge here and there where I wanted the gold leaf. You then pick up a gold leaf sheet using wax paper and press it on. Once it’s stuck, use a soft paint brush to brush the excess away.

  1. What a elegant transformation for a dollar store flower pot! Do you also use Mod Podge to seal the gold?

  2. This pot looks great. Who doesn't like gold leaf. Well for me a new thing to try I haven't tried to use gold leaf before, but now with your inspirations it will be on my list of things to try. Thanks for sharing your project.
Please join me at my blog for my newest project. How to take plain picture frames and make them into ornate shabby chic frames. I hope to see you there.
